Summer update

Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit us on the web.

Wow 2007 has been very busy for us and there are no signs of it slowing down. In February and March we spent several weeks performing aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s, Norwegian Spirit. This luxury ship is 908.4 feet in length with 13 passenger decks. The technical crew in the ship’s state of the art Stardust Theatre was first rate and great to work with. Special thanks go to several people who made our stay very enjoyable. In no particular order thanks go to Julie, our cruise director; Andrea, the Ship’s Clearance Officer; Rusty, the head technician and lighting guru; Butch, the stage manager; Ricardo, the sound engineer; Steve, Gail, James & Nicole of Cameo Rascale, (a great family acrobatic act and James is an incredible juggler at only 10 years old); Becky, Darryl, Carly and the rest of gang from ‘Second City TV’; and Howard Sr. & Howard Jr., our cruise line agents. Additional thanks go to our good friend and fellow magician Matt Tomasko, who drove our equipment truck back home from New York for us and then back again at the end of the run. And last but not least our dear friend Carrie who helped keep things running smoothly back home and helped in many different ways.

Cruising the Caribbean in the cold, snow covered months of February and March is a great thing. Donna especially was very happy to be in warmer climate. We visited some beautiful ports of call including Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas / Nassau, Bahamas / St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands / Tortola, British Virgin Islands / Samana, Dominican Republic and Port Canaveral, Florida. Since Port Canaveral, FL is just a 45 minute bus ride to Disney World we had to make a side trip there to visit with Mickey and as Donna says “smell the Disney air.”

Back on dry land we have been keeping busy with corporate shows, colleges, a few school shows, and private parties. Looking ahead in the summer 2007 we have shows in PA, DE, NJ, MD, and another cruise in mid June . On this one we will be cruising to Bermuda. We love Bermuda, having worked cruise ships for months on end that made that Port of call on a weekly basis, but it has been years since we last visited this beautiful island. In July you can see us perform at several shows that are open to the public. Friday, July 6, at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center in Hershey, PA; July 9 – 15 at Knoebel’s Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA and on July 18 at the new bandstand on the boardwalk in Bethany Beach, DE. We will be back at Knoebel’s August 20 – 26 and in September and October we will be back at “Field of Screams” Halloween Attraction on weekends as the Host. (See the previous blog for more information about this attraction.)

For more information on any of our shows or to book your dates it is always fastest to call us at 717-293-5115. If we are out on the road or the high seas we will return your call as soon as possible. You can also email us but it may take us a little longer to get back to you and we do book on a first come first served basis.

We look forward to the opportunity of entertaining you in the near future.

Magically,
Mike & Donna
